In the past, I’ve said there’s no direct correlation between editorial rankings and paid advertisements. Well, it seems I was wrong. Paid search really can affect organic search.

The article talks about how paid ads on Google and Yahoo using terms that the site was not optimized for are giving websites better results when people search on those same keywords. If this is how the rules are now, it changes things because you can essentially buy a top position in Google’s supposedly organic results.
