There are hundreds and more content directories on the net today. Just submitting your article to article directory websites does not guarantee that your article is going to be posted. Many article sites have acceptance axioms that are reasonably general in sense. Nearly all of the larger, more well-liked sites, are often difficult about what gets released and what gets rejected.

If you would like to make sure that more of your articles are accepted by online article directories you have to make sure your article meets the article directory owners standards. As an owner and publisher of article sites for years, I’m amazed at how many authors don’t bother to read thru submission suggestions. Most article directories will accept any article submitted, particularly if it is a new article site, as a way to build up their content database. Nonetheless article directories that are better established with high Alexa and Google rankings, have a tendency to be more picky in what’s posted in their website.

The most common mistakes authors make in submitting their article include:

1. Not following the formatting necessities. Word wrap and HTML formatting preserve the page layout of the site. Articles submitted with word wrapping on is one of the largest reasons for rejecting articles. Forced breaks at sixty characters might be satisfactory for sites that basically feed ezines, but it is not extraordinarily appealing on a webpage. Posting HTML articles on sites that accept only text articles is also quite exasperating for an editor to get rid of.

2. Writer names not capitalized. While many authors are rushing to upload articles to loads of sites as swiftly as possible, most do not make the effort to capitalize their first name and last name in the writer profile area. It appears to directory owners that if Susan Smith enters her name as susan smith, it somehow makes her seem as if she is minimizing herself as an writer. Be excited with who you are and tell the world you are Susan Smith!

3. Punctuation and spelling errors. Editors don’t have time to proofread each article for typos or punctuation errors. If you would like to make sure that your article is picked up by these content directory sites and used on other webpages, you will hope to ensure you have carefully checked your article for screw-ups. Ezine and newsletter editors regularly get material for their publications from these content directory websites. If your article is not well crafted or contains lots of inaccuracies, your content is probably not going to be used for any reason aside from giving you a free link to your site from the content index.

If you want to increase the exposure you get with your articles, make sure you become familiar with the prerequisites for each article site that you send articles to. By adhering to these writer laws, you not only increase your odds of getting your article printed, you also set yourself up as a convincing article writer and increase your site traffic also.

Blogging these days have become extremely popular amongst so many different groups of people. Why would you want to blog in the first place? Well, blogging is similar to writing your own journal but the advantage is that you can share your thoughts as well as news with all your friends as well as the rest of the Internet.

Most bloggers these days will write about the things they’re interested in such as their hobbies, news, technology, gadgets, and so forth. I suggest that you pick a topic that you’re interested in or a hobby that you are good at and start sharing as well because blogging can be a great form of secondary income for you and your family. I bet you’ve already heard of cases where people have left their jobs because their websites can sustain their current lifestyles. Is this true – yes. Will you become a millionaire from your blog – it depends on how successful you get.

The more you write, the more popularity your website gains. In this game, traffic equals money. So, once you get a few visitors happening, you can start monetizing your blog with pay per click ads or affiliate networks, where someone clicks or buys something listed on your website, you get paid – simple as that. This is why so many popular websites on the Internet have allowed their owners to live the Internet entrepreneur’s lifestyle. Who knows, you might be one of them one day?

However, it can remain private if you want it to. Some people just do not want to make their sites public, for whatever their reasons. You can set your blog to not be indexed by search engines or you can apply a password lock so that only you can view it.

Blogging can be a very inexpensive way to get started creating your own websites as well. You can choose between hosting your own site (which will cost you a few dollars per month) or you can go with the free website alternatives.

There are some really good and reliable website building and hosting services out there such as squarespace.com that will not only host your blog for you but will provide you with a template design builder with which you can design your own personal “look” without knowing any HTML code at all. This will cost you about $20 per month with ongoing fees. A free alternative is WordPress.com but you will have to provide your own hosting for this.

Hosting on servers such as HostGator will generally set you back about $10 per month as a minimum. You might be able to find other hosting services that go for less but they might not be as reliable. Join some Internet forums and see what others have to say about the particular service that you are thinking of subscribing to, that’s the only way to find out.

If you’re after totally free hosting, there are a variety of cost free services at your disposal. The best thing about these types of sites is that they are catered to people who have no idea about building and designing a blog. These free services are incredibly easy to setup and maintain and it only takes you a few minutes to get started and to get your website online to share with the world.

Such examples would be: Blogspot, TypePad, Blogger, as well as a very popular WordPress.com. These are incredibly simple to use, and they can be accessed and setup directly within your Internet browser – no other software is required. They are also relatively well search-engine -optimized and will bring you quite a bit of internet traffic for your niche.

Comprehending the Big Picture of Article Marketing and Article Directory Scripts

Comprehending the Big Picture of Article Marketing and Article Directory Scripts

My speculation is that chances are, you are starting to spot the big picture with article marketing. Whether you are attempting to increase your seo by distributing to many websites, or you are looking to increase your online visitors, article marketing is dynamic. Then again, why are so many article directories being built all over the www? Simply because, article directory proprietors have noticed that they can benefit from your articles for free and cash in independently from it, also!

Even if you could care less about website positioning, typically you should find that as you article market, your website pages will become more popular.

Your web pages will needless to say receive more backlinks and internet traffic, and normally your search engine results positioning will go up, even without any unique focus on it. Obviously the guy who established their own article directory script where your article is written and published is getting that same targeted visitors first and foremost as folks will read your article if nicely composed.

One of the most amazing things about article marketing, specifically if you are building a list, is that subscribers who come to you after reading one of your articles will spend more money than readers who come to you from a number of traffic resources. Frequently, when someone subscribes to your list after studying one or a few of your articles, they are already to trust you, and will probably purchase from you sooner than somebody who needs to read quite a few emails from you and perhaps converse on the web before they will purchase.

Article authoring simply provides a completely unique opportunity for you to captivate customers to your marketing list who have a prequalified curiosity and confidence in your service or product. However, article directory publishers have a predisposition of trustworthyness and prominence since they are important information providers and are not reselling any certain services or products.

Sustaining Patience as Your Article Marketing Efforts Come Together

When you first learn how to start with article marketing, things will probably probably move bit by bit for you. Among the things that happen with article marketing is an rapid outcome. When you have only several articles posted, you are not going to have a avalanche of traffic. But if you draft and submit a handful of articles a day for several weeks or months, you will start to encounter an incredible benefit, and it will all become worth it. Remember, you will continue to attain the results of articles you have authored for as long as they are online and shared. I have individually noticed the effects of this and have acquired earnings from articles written and published more than twelve months ago. So when you have 10 articles or 100 articles online, you will have 10 times or a hundred times the targeted visitors that you will get after the first article.

Making use of an article directory script in addition to your main source of earnings are valuable in that you now control the gateway to important information about your services and products and those of your online competitors, too. This will not only give you a gain in marketing but monetize the details your rival is publishing on the web too.

It is easy to become disappointed when you have published just a couple of articles, and your revenue is not consistent with the time you put into article posting and submission. This is where the power of owning your own article directory is necessary. Your internet business can start to flourish through the work of significant amounts of other authors who are submitting their articles to article directory scripts every day.

Even though not the subject of this document you may want to invest in an article poster or article submission software to help you publish your articles to a large number of of the top notch article directory web-sites online at this time. In fact, let me go as far to say this, if you are only going to write a small amount of articles and then stop, you should not write or publish any articles. Article marketing is highly powerful, but it is most powerful when there is a cumulative effect, and that snowballing effect needs time to work and several articles and submissions.

Think about an article directory script powered by WordPress to release your personal article directory internet site. Marketing online can be fulfilling if you don’t experience the stress a php article script will probably give you.

WordPress is wildly popular for web designers, small business owners (like me), and bloggers (me again). Since WordPress hit the scene, thousands and thousands of WordPress themes have materialized. The end result is there are now a variety in type of WordPress themes to choose from.

This article sets out the types of WordPress themes you can buy. You’ll have to forgive me, but I’ll be coining some terms to describe the types of WordPress themes you can buy and/or use (after all, there are free themes and so you don’t need to buy them).

5 Types of wordPress Themes are as follows:

1. Premium WordPress themes

I didn’t coin this term. Premium themes refer to themes you buy. Within the “premium theme” realm are all kinds of wonderful themes. In fact, it’s the fact there’s a market for premium themes that has financed some impressive theme designs and functionality.

2. Free WordPress themes

There are thousands of free themes. In fact, once you install WordPress on your server, you’ll be able to browse thousands of themes which you can use for free.

One caveat I have about free themes is to look “under the hood” for any outgoing links to other sites. You’ll want to remove these links. Some links may be to nefarious websites such as prescription, pornographic, and gambling sites. You don’t want your business website or family blog linking to these types of sites.

3. WordPress theme generators

The WordPress theme generator is relatively recent development. I love these themes because they give pretty much anyone the ability to customize layout and design easily and quickly. It’s practically using drag and drop technology in WordPress. If you can conceive it, you can build it with a WordPress theme generator.

WordPress theme generators are premium themes. In other words you need to buy them. They’re well worth the cost.

4. Specific-purpose themes

There are hundreds of uses for websites – e-commerce, blog, magazine, photography, video, business, sales pages, membership sites, sports-related sites, product reviews, and much, much more. As more people and businesses turn to WordPress to build websites, wordPress theme developers are creating websites for very specific purposes. For example, you can now find themes designed for restaurants, lawyers, product reviews, realtors, specific sports, fitness, etc.

5. Tumblog themes

A tumblog is mix of Twitter and blogging. Tumblogs create a stream of posts which you can read in their entirety on the home page. A quality tumblog theme makes it easy upload images, video, integrate with Twitter and Facebook, and of course add blog posts.

Within all of the above-listed types of themes, you can find a huge variety of layouts and designs to meet your needs. Common layouts include 1 to 4 columns (I tend to go with 2 and 3 column layouts). The WordPress theme generators and some premium themes make it easy to create different layouts on different posts and pages.

Next, buy StudioPress themes, or more specifically buy Genesis themes to get access to some of the best premium themes available.

Once upon a time, you built a website with HTML in a static format. You either coded it in a simple .txt doc or used something a little more fancy like Front Page or Dreamweaver.

Once upon a time, you built a website with HTML in a static format. You either coded it in a simple .txt doc or used something a little more fancy like Front Page or Dreamweaver.

Now, your options for building a website are seemingly endless.

There are 5 main types of website building platforms. They are as follows:

1. HTML

Yes, the old-school method is alive and well. You can design and code from scratch or use a HTML template. Your choice. Frankly, I like templates because it saves a lot of time – all that remains is tweaking the site for your needs.

2. CMS

I love CMS platforms such as WordPress and Joomla. There’s Drupal and others, but I’m not familiar with them. CMS platforms make it incredibly easy for anyone to add articles and blogs posts once the CMS platform and it’s design (through templates or themes) are installed. From there you easily add content as much as you want. Better yet, anyone can add content in CMS because no coding knowledge is needed.

3. Flash

Flash undoubtedly creates some of the prettiest and most stunning websites. But, Flash is a complex coding language. You can also get Flash templates, but those are not that easy to customize.

Frankly, I don’t like Flash for 2 reasons:

First, I don’t like websites that have a long load-time. You always know when you end up at a Flash website by the “loading” timer you encounter.

Second, Flash websites aren’t that search engine friendly.

4. Online Website Builders

These are cool and many offer you free websites that are hosted on their server. If you settle with an online website builder, I recommend you pay for a custom domain and spring for hosting. Having a website hosted on another site isn’t very professional.

Online website builders are about as easy-to-use as you get for building a website. You log in, choose a design, and start building your site with drag and drop technology.

5. Website Creator Software

You can buy some sophisticated website creator software that makes it pretty easy to build quality websites. These are good because they result in static websites, which if you don’t need to add content daily or weekly, is a good way not to use too much of your website hosting resources. CMS such as WordPress and Joomla are web hosting hogs.

Next, research then buy website templates, or specifically compare and then buy WordPress themes.
