The Key to Article Submission

One trend that has been growing in recent years is article submission sites. These are popping up all over the place. They charge a small fee to the purchaser for the right to have their articles spread all over the place. This drives visitors to their website giving them more visibility and profitability.

What these articles try to do is called search engine optimization. With back links that go back to the original site they try to sell their products by making sure that they are first on a search engine.

The way that this starts is that the owner of the site finds some freelance writer to author the articles as cheaply as possible.

The articles become the copyrighted material of the web site owner, this allows them to sell them to whoever they want to.

After the articles are sold the owner takes a batch to a web site that will put them on different servers. This article submission service agrees to put the material on a many services as the owner has paid for.

The article submitter will then put the articles on as many web sites as possible, trying to boost the number of hits to the maximum possible. If the SEO words were chosen properly then there should be a maximum amount of traffic redirected back to the original web site and the original owner will be able to make more sales. Of course, this was the original goal.

The traffic needs to be organic traffic. That means that it needs to naturally want to come to that particular web site or it is not sustainable. It would seem that with the words used that the article submission crowd has a lot in common with ecologists, but the two are exclusive. If the traffic is not naturally occurring then it will stop after a while.

There is only so much one article can do and so after it loses its effectiveness it will be reset with another, newer approach.

The people who write the articles are paid very little, but tend to write a lot. They will write sometimes hundreds of articles per week and sometimes work as a team to make sure that they are getting enough submissions. This will mean more traffic for the original owner of the article.

The fact is that this process is part and parcel with the American dream. It was small entrepreneurs who started this venture because they found it difficult to compete with web sites that were bigger and better funded. This has allowed them to create a niche for consumers to find them.

Getting your web site noticed on the web today is almost impossible. You either have to have a very special and unique product or you have to use some method of generating the organic traffic. Without the article submitters it would be impossible for smaller web sites to be noticed by the general public. Now with such innovative tricks as SEO and article submission it is a much more level playing field.
