Traffic Conversion Guide

Is your website generating a lot of traffic, but your conversions don’t seem to increase at all? Are you wondering what should you do to finally start converting your visitors into customers? If you would like to know the answer, apply these four principles to promote your online business and get more sales.

Firstly, make sure that visitors are getting what they were looking for when they come to your website. Make your offer is specific and relevant to the ads which account for the flow of traffic to your site. The more specific you are in this case-the better.

For instance, your website may be about studying Chinese in China, and yet your ads are for studying Chinese. This is definitely a wrong approach, because your site will be visited by those who would like to study Chinese by themselves, or looking for some language schools in their area. By narrowing down your traffic you will be getting more targeted visitors, those who will more likely convert.

The second principle is having a clear path for your visitors to follow when they come to your page. In other words, if you have an invitation to sign your guest book, one to post on your forum, one to take a survey, and one to fill in their name and email to receive a free report, then they are likely to do none of the above.

People dont like to feel the pressure of too many offers, this is why the best solution is to divide the process into steps and lead a person from giving them something free to buying something from you.

The third principle is to let a customer know what benefit he can obtain from purchasing your product. People will not buy your product to make you earn some money, they will do it to get some advantage of it.

When it comes to that, you have to be very clear about what people are going to get from giving you their information or purchasing your product. Simply telling them about your offer is not enough, instead sell them on the benefit.

Finally, try to concentrate on building trust with people, this is what marketing is about. Do not expect a visitor to make a purchase at once, think of marketing as dating, care about people and soon it will result in conversions you were looking for.
